Be patient with Tinubu, Ondo Apostolic Faith overseer tells Nigerians

Seeks prayers, support for President

The Regional Overseer of the Apostolic Faith Church, Ondo and Ekiti states, Revd. Akinwumi Ajayi, has urged Nigerians to exercise patience and not rush for immediate transformation of the country.

He specifically urged them to prayerfully support the current administration under the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Ajayi, who stated this during his visit to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), as part of activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the church, said it might take some time for the policies implemented by the new administration to yield good result.

According to him, in a transition of government where policies are being introduced with the aim of benefiting the masses, there will inevitably be challenges along the way.

He, however, urged Nigerians to keep the crusade against endemic corruption alive, urging leaders to rule awith the fear of God. The Regional overseer urged the public to celebrate with them and appreciated God for the growth of the church.

“The church peaches the entire Bible and the doctrine of salvation, the need for somebody to be born again and be transformed. What ever we do in the church, the central theme is of salvation. We thank God that we made it through thick and thin, we that are old are handing over to the youths,” the cleric said. He listed some of the programme of the church’s anniversary to include evangelism, crusade, thanksgiving, music concert and revival.
