FOBTOB re-elects Oyibo as national president

The Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff Association (FOBTOB) has re-elected Jimoh Oyibo as the new National President.

Oyibo, who is expected to take over the association’s affairs as president for another three years, was re-elected at the union’s 15th National Delegates’ Conference in Asaba, Delta State, alongside other new national officers.

The new national president is a staff of Intercontinental Distillers Limited.


Among other elected officers are Deputy National President, Lanre Yusuff; Executive Secretary, Solomon Adebosin; Deputy Executive Secretary, Admin, Jumoke Oladimeji, National Women Leader, Bunmi Adesayo and National Treasurer, Solomon Makinde.

Swearing in the new officers is the Registrar of Trade Unions, Amos Falonipe, who urged that they use their new positions to serve the union diligently.

A former Executive Secretary and veteran in the sector, Amb. Sola Iji, presented to them their certificates of return.

In his acceptance speech, Oyibo commended members for their support and trust in leading them to another tenure.

He also appreciated Sola Iji, whom he said mentored and tutored him to where he is in the labour movement.

While pledging his commitment, he assured that the newly elected national officers would not betray members, even as he reaffirmed the trust they have for them.

Other officers include National Internal Auditor, Patrick Sule; Vice President, Eastern Zone, Christoper Amadi; Vice President, Northern Zone, Nasiru Musa Bichi, Vice President, Western Zone; Nwachukwu Onyeabor; Trustee, Eastern Zone, Obot Asuquo; Trustee, Northern Zone, Isaiah Thunder; Trustee, Western Zone, Clement Ndubuisi; Welfare Officer, Eastern Zone, Alex Amadi; Welfare Officer, Northern Zone, Azeez Raji; Welfare Officer, Western Zone, Emmanuel Idogen and Deputy Executive Secretary, Account, Peter Iyeye.
