R&B singer Halle Bailey and her boyfriend, rapper DDG, have shared the first photos of their son Halo during the family’s vacation in Italy.
The new parents posted pictures of their son on their social media platforms for the first time since his birth, penning down short captions.
“Halo’s first time in Italy,” Halle captioned her post, which featured several photos of the baby boy. In one image, Halle cradled Halo as they took in the view of the Italian countryside. DDG also shared a photo of the family, writing, “La Familia who halo look like more?”
Fans have quickly pointed out the strong resemblance between Halo and his famous mother. Many comments note the baby’s striking similarity to Halle.
Postpartum depression
The 24-year-old singer has been open about the challenges of new motherhood, revealing earlier this year that she’s been struggling with severe postpartum depression.
“I have severe, severe postpartum depression. And I don’t know if any new moms can relate, but it’s to the point where it’s really bad, and it’s hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before I start to kind of freak out.” Halle said in a Snapchat video.
She added, “The only thing that’s been hard for me is feeling normal in my own body. I feel like a completely different person when I look in the mirror. I just feel like I’m in a whole new body, and I don’t know who I am.”
Additionally, Postpartum depression is a type of clinical depression that affects some women after childbirth. It comes with feelings of sadness, anxiety, and hopelessness.
Halle and DDG welcomed their son Halo in 2023, officially sharing a glimpse of the child on Instagram at the start of the new year.

The couple welcomed their son just months after Halle’s highly publicised press tour for the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, in which she starred as Ariel. The couple had kept Halle’s pregnancy tightly under wraps until announcing the birth of their first child.
