Nigerian singer-songwriter Simi has officially released her newest studio album “Lost and Found.”

The 14-track project features collaborations with a lineup of Nigerian artistes. They are Lojay, Bella Shmurda, Asa, Falz, Tiwa Savage, and legendary highlife musician Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey.

“Lost and Found” is Simi’s fourth studio album. The album has Simi’s signature Afropop sound with R&B, soul, and highlife.

Speaking on the release of her album, Simi said, “For most of my life, I have enjoyed the privilege of knowing myself deeply, unwaveringly, truly.

“In more recent years, I have also endured the discomfort of losing myself. Sometimes, to make room for something else that I needed to be – other times, because I could not, for the life of me, find my way. I felt like a stranger to myself. This version of me has been the hardest one to look at in the mirror.”

“Making this album is a symbol of finding parts of myself again that I hoped I hadn’t lost permanently. I don’t believe that we ever stop finding ourselves. If you’re willing to look, there’s always more. This is a tribute to the things we continue to find and rediscover.”

She said that “Lost and Found” is about reclaiming her chemistry with music, melody and love stories.

Simi first rose to prominence in the early 2010s with hit singles like “Tiff” and “Jamb Question”.

She has since established herself as one of the biggest female artistes in the Nigerian music industry.

In addition to her musical successes, Simi is also known for her marriage to fellow Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold.

The couple tied the knot on January 9 2019 and have since welcomed their first child, Adejare Kosoko.
