Nigerian singer, Chike, has announced the release of his new album, Son Of Chike, on July 19.

The album features collaborations with some of the biggest names in Nigerian music, including Olamide, Qing Madi, Amaeya, the late Mohbad and Ladipoe.

Posting about the album on social media channels, Chike expressed his excitement about the project, stating: “#SonOfChike is from me to you. I had a good time making it and an even better time knowing that I was making it for you. I think art should be a collage of experiences and feelings. Tried putting my feelings together and making some sense of it. In hopes that you would feel something I had felt or experienced something I had experienced.”

The album’s lineup of features is exciting as these artistes are known to carry their weight on any track they are featured in.

Furthermore, Chike’s new album, Son Of Chike is highly anticipated by his growing fanbase. They have been eagerly awaiting a new body of work from the singer since the release of his last album Boo of the Booless in 2021.

The new album will show Chike’s versatility and artistic growth as a singer. Fans can mark their calendars for July 19th, when Son Of Chike will be available for streaming platforms.

Born Chiké Naz Uzor, Chike hails from Enugu State, Nigeria. He began his music career in the early 2010s by performing at local events. He went on to release his debut studio album, Boo of the Booless in 2021. This album put him on the map as a rising Afrobeats star.

Additionally, Chike’s music is predominantly R&B and Soul. He won the Headies Award in the category of Best R&B Single for his song Nakupenda.
